“73rd Independence Day Celebrations, 2019” at NERPC Shillong

The office of North Eastern Regional Power Committee celebrated the 73rd Independence Day joyously and enthusiastically. The employees of NERPC exhibited great emotional connect to the Flag Hoisting event, which was led by Sh. AK Thakur, Member Secretary, NERPC. The Flag Hoisting was followed by the playing/recitation of National Anthem in the office.
In his address, Sh. A.K. Thakur, Member Secretary, NERPC addressed the gathering recalling the martyrs and freedom fighters who fought for the freedom and those who laid down their lives. The Member Secretary spoke on the importance and relevance of the Independence Day on this occasion. He also called upon the officers and staffs of NERPC to harness the potential of NERPC and to undertake our mandates with rightful dedication and commitment.

He also emphasized the need for thoughtful retrospection to take India forward and excel in the areas that we still lag behind and catch-up with the dynamically changing world by fostering and inculcate the great leadership qualities and valor of the freedom fighters, and re-resolve ourselves to make India “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.
